Rolebama Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Hi, I hope you can help me. I have NEC ND4571 (with upgraded firmware thanks to ImgBurn link). I have (eventually) managed to compile all my bits of home video into a 6.2GB file, courtesy of ImgBurn, and burnt it to disc. After burning, I got error message about finalising. I pressed the Retry button and it finalised and verified no problem. Thing is, it won't play on any of my home DVD players, and is really glitchy with PowerDVD 6. I did NOT use Verbatim disc (I have read quite a few threads, and know how you love them), but would this cause this problem? As an aside, I used Nero 6 for all other burning, but having used ImgBurn, I am converted. I have ditched Nero altogether as even with firmware upgrade, it still wouldn't burn Dual Layer.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Bad media causes all sorts of problem. The discs not working at all or skipping like mad are just two of them.
Rolebama Posted July 20, 2007 Author Posted July 20, 2007 Thanks for your prompt reply. I solved the problem. Somehow, the compiled file was corrupted. Loaded the iso file into Tools Daemon and checked it, and it was exactly same as on burnt DVD. Rebuilt file with ImgBurn, and checked with Tools Daemon and it played fine. Burnt it again, and DVD plays fine. Thanks again.
