I also ran ImgBurn and used cmc mag media (not known for being the best media) and opened loads of windows a few instances of my computer, paint, websites and not a hint of any slowdown/ issues burning etc.

Make sure you go into bios and Disable SILICON IMAGE SATA II

These are under Onboard device configuration.

Under serial ATA enable Serial ATA Controller

And Disable RAID

Then Enable the SATA ports you are going to use.

Using which disc's.

maybe what your installing after is causing you trouble.

What is jungo. [edit] never mind thought it looked familiar, if it is pcix/usb stuff maybe that is causing the issues

What size psu have you got in ? and regardless of Watts what ampage is the 12 v line (normally on the sticker of psu)

[edit] and your drivers are not exactly the same as mine... look under atapi

Hi there,

PSU is a Viper 600watts.

The Jungo is a driver for a card reader.

Im pretty sure that Vista updated my drivers for me when i shut down, i think that it is installing updating drivers that dont work.

I will try again, if not will reinstall....

Just updated drivers and there back to the same section as you now?????
