zigystardust Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Every time I try to burn a DVD I get an error message before I can get even 1% complete. Its an I/O Error and it says Device: Matshita DVD-Ram Interpretation: Check condition, and it also says Power Calibration Error. I lowered the write speed and the dvds should work, What does this mean?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 It means the drive doesn't like the media you're using. See if there are any firmware updates available for the drive, they help fix these kinds of issues. If you're not already doing so, start using decent media. Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden discs are the ones we recommend.
