LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 No idea then I'm afraid. Assuming it plays ok on your PC, it must just be that your players don't like my images. There's a fix coming in the next version of ImgBurn to improve the situation but afaik, it was only an issue for Samsung players and even then it was only a problem for media that wasn't booktyped to DVDROM (which yours is). I've gotta say though, the info your copied+pasted from the info panel on the right doesn't really look complete. It's missing some bits I'd normally expect to see there.

LOCOENG Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 ..i verified it after the write.. ...and it was successful as well. how do i resolve the missing bits? The missing bits could be resolved by looking at your ripping method or your authoring method...We can't talk about the ripping and this board isn't about authoring. im getting a new dvd burner on friday a sony DRU830A Why? I agree with LUK...the problem appears to be your standalones.
blutach Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Try playing your disk in a mate's player. Some standalones can be very picky. Regards
brett Posted August 22, 2007 Author Posted August 22, 2007 getting a new dvd burner cause my optiarc one died wrote read or write.
LOCOENG Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 So you will be keeping this drive? I don't think there is anything wrong with it, just had a firmware update recently too, so it is still seeing support.
brett Posted August 23, 2007 Author Posted August 23, 2007 what i did was changed the break layer from ifo to vts_14 with no splip and it now plays but that vts_14 doesnt play
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 The layer break position wouldn't (shouldn't) stop it playing full stop, if it has a problem with it then the player just tends to get upset when it has to switch layers - i.e. the first layer should play just fine.
