chewy Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 I have only had that error once, but it was due to a partition/drive that I let get too full and badly fragmented. Just to be safe I moved all critical data off that drive, since it was a small partition I reformatted slow ntfs, been fine ever since Does the video play off the hard drive?
blutach Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 This is most likely due to a bad rip/conversion. All VIDEO_TS.IFO files start off with the characters DVDVIDEO-VMG. If these are not present, no dice. There are of course, lots of other means of corrupting the IFO. Go back to square 1 and start again is my advice. Or, if you know what you are doing, try to repair the file in IfoEdit. Perhaps try copying VIDEO_TS.BUP to VIDEO_TS.IFO and see if that fixes the problem. Regards

blutach Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Donta - I am sure the prog FixVTS is not being referenced. I suspect it is ImgBurn's Get VTS Sectors routine (perhaps a change in nomenclature is warranted in the log). Regards
dontasciime Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 yeah I know that is ImgBurn log and reference point. I was merely trying to tell them to get that program you mentioned without actually saying it
blutach Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 OIC. It wouldn't matter. If VIDEO_TS.IFO is buggered, FixVTS wouldn't load it either. Regards
dontasciime Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 worked for me in the past when something I recorded on my liteon 5006 home dvd recorder gave up that error in dec or IB, maybe I am mistaken and I ran it thru ifo edit/ vobblanker or pgcedit.
blutach Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 It would load if the BUP is intact. Regards
