blutach Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 It's easier for us if you stick to the one thread please. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtop...mp;p=53818& Regards
dontasciime Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 there is an SCO2 firmware but it might not go into your drive if yours is OEM
chewy Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 there is an SCO2 firmware but it might not go into your drive if yours is OEM I did a search on that crossflash, a mod fried his burner over at cdfreaks using non uniform(different size) firmwares, one person was going to try it with same size firmware but hasn't reported back very iffy
dontasciime Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Firmware I download was this TS-H652M_SC02.bin
chewy Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 which is the generic tosh/sam firmware and is probably safe to try as long as you don't use the crossflasher sfdnwin (with nocheck)
dontasciime Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 binflash is what is supposed to be used even though its not listed
chewy Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 those oem's won't take the generic firmware with binflash
dontasciime Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 couldn't say 4 sure as I don't own one http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/528098
chewy Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I read that thread earlier I removed Roxio completely. I can't update the firmware because Samsung says that it does not support this device. HP-Compaque must have received a shipload of this burner for next to nothing!!! I know what we would do before we pull and pitch the drive, but it would be in the interest of science and breaking things
dontasciime Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Never spotted that bit, I would have a go if I owned the drive by changing Vendor Id might end up with dead drive but you can recover some mediatek based drives, if that one is. Shit drive anyway with no support
