tom3d Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I have ImgBurn v2.3.2.0 installed and trying to burn an ISO image at 4x to a 10x CD-RW. I set the Write Speed to 4x in the Settings section and ImgBurn still write at 10x according to the Information section below. I must be reading this information wrong or have not setup ImgBurn properly? Information Device: _NEC DVD_RW ND-3540A (E:) Write Retries: 0 Copy: 1 of 1 (Write Speed: 4x) <-- Here Write Rate: 1,499 KB/s (10.0x) <-- Here Sectors: 9,152 Time Elapsed: 00:00:32 Size: 18,743,296 bytes Time Remaining: 00:07:44 Time: 02:04:02 (MM:SS:FF) Windows XP Pro SP2 tom3D
mmalves Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 If the speed you're selecting isn't listed as a Supported Write Speed (depends on your burner/media combo) then your burner will use the closest speed available to the one you've selected.
chewy Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 nec's make some of the best cd burning dvd burners, you should be good at 16 or 32x with quality media cd-rw's are iffy to start out with
