DO you need to compress image before burning?

Once you have decrtped the ISO file, do you need to compress it in anyway to write it on to a standard 4.7, or do you need to use a dual layer if its over 4.7.

Any help would be grateful

If what you've got won't fit on your media, yes it will need to be compressed so that it does.
