LOCOENG Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 As corny suggests...Verbatims only, I see you are using C-H-I-T discs so what you will get is C-H-I-T in = C-H-I-T out.
volvofl10 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 hmmm, a similar connection to mrs volvos cooking ...C-H-I-T in = C-H-I................

volvofl10 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 i would suggest you look for a firmware update . firstly, is it a Dell machine ?? if so , search there site for updates for that drive first Its possible that your drive is actually a Benq 1650 with a phillips badge on it.If this si the case, you could try flashing it with the Benq firmware., check for verification about this before you try it though If you search the net , you will find a few instances of people using the Benq firmware . Its also worth a shot at cleaning the lense in the drive
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 The 2.4x discs seem to work better than the 8x ones. 8x ones fail in far more drives (probably because they're newer!). btw, your image isn't right and may not work anyway. I suggest you re-do it from your original.
MUCH_ENDO Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 Hey, when you say the image isnt right what do you mean? Cuz I got it to burn but when I put it in xbox it just gives a screen that says this disc must be used in an xbox...like I don't know that already. I feel like a dumb ass with this. I have never had any problem with anything on a computer before so I'm getting frustrated.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Like I said, re-do the image from your original using the correct tools and then you won't have a problem with it. Your current one appears to be missing certain data that'll stop it playing if you're using a more recent modification. I'm not going to go into detail as that part of the problem is nothing to do with ImgBurn and does not belong on this forum.
chewy Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 but i cant find any f/w. and i'm at a loss as to where else to look for it. it's not easy but I love my benq 1650 http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=178571 but then it's not that hard either be sure and use a pink trenchcoat for proper crossflashing
