How do I copy a directory containing regular files from my computer hard drive to a DVD so that later more directories can be copied to the same DVD?

Is this an obvious question and, if so, why isn't it answered in FAQS?

If you want that kind of functionality might I suggest you buy yourself a USB Memory Pen/Stick thingy. They're far better suited to the task. Use CD/DVD's when you know you've got everything you want/need on the disc - i.e. to archive it.

nero 7 sure had problems with xp, nero 8 or Vista(ultimate bloatwares) probably still won't get it to work right

it seems that more and more dvd burners are coming out with dvd-ram, does anyone think that will take off and be practical for this use? or are you running into the same problems all over again?

even at 4 gigs the usb drives are limited

You're just about the only person to have ever asked the question, so it's hardly worthy of going in the FAQ!

You're also probably 1 in 10000 to actually use packet writing software - everyone knows it's very closely linked to the Devil and to avoid it like the plague.

I confess, I used packet writting software in 1998 with windows 95/easy cd and my first cd burner

didn't work even back then
