dontasciime Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 write speed max If your using wireless forget that and choose 2 or 4x max (2x would be best choice) even then you may struggle 10/100 choose 6x - 8x (better choice would be 6x) If you have 10/100/1000 you can do 16x all day and 88 meg free memory is terrible
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Either limit the write speed to 4x (or maybe even 6x), or get yourself a gigabit network card in both PC (and a gigabit router). At the moment you're hitting the max speed of a 100mb lan. EDIT: Damn it, too late now! Got a phonecall in the middle of writing my response

therock003 Posted October 11, 2007 Author Posted October 11, 2007 How will i know if network card is 10/100 or 10/100/1000? One pc is desktop and one is laptop.The desktop is old like bought in 2001 with no network card and i bought one for and i think it is a gigabit or a linksys 10/100/1000 but im not sure.Laptop came with a netwrok adapter but i think its only 10/100 but still not sure. Well anyway i used the blue ty dvd+r discs 1-16x certified and 20x compatible and write speed auto (max). I dont intend to burn via network,its just that disks are full right now and i extracted some content to my laptops storage and burned it from there. So do you think that this disc is fine or should i re-write it?
dontasciime Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Verify the disc against ISO with verify mode in ImgBurn The 10/100/1000 will drop to lowest speed of other networked computer. The laptop hard drive will not be as fast as desktop variant so If you have to burn over network from files stored on laptop try limiting speed to 4x and see how it goes if still the same drop to 2x if the disc's support write speed of 2x
