zoomzoomr Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Hi guys.. I am an extreme newbie to this software, and have made only one attempt to burn a VIDEO_TS file to a DVD+R disc. The results were that the disc could not burn the entire movie due to its size, but did burn a very nice quality 75% of the movie. Considering the movie was originally ripped from a DVD to the computer, why would it not fit on another DVD? The total play time is much less than 120 minutes, but the file size is close to 6GB. Is there any way to compress the file size to fit, or are there larger capacity than 4.7GB burnable DVDs out there? Sorry if this has been asked 100000 times before...
volvofl10 Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 blank media comes in 2 sizes, DV5 or DV9 DV5 is 4.3Gb and DV9 is 8.3/4 GB DV9 is also known as "dual layer" if you go for DV then only use Verbatim discs we cant and wont discuss ripping or anything related to ripping of any kind of discs ,for legal reasons im afraid
