pwink44 Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I have an .avi video, and when played on the computer it plays perfectly, and after using DVD Flick and Img Burn and burning to a dvd it plays on the PC O.K. When I play it on a dvd player to watch it there is no audio. This has happened on the last two dvd's that I have burned. (I tried another previously burned dvd in the player and it works OK ) 0:55:26 AM: DVD Flick 1.2.2.0 beta build 439 10:55:26 AM: Calculating stream sizes... 10:55:26 AM: Disc space used : 4360133 KB 10:55:26 AM: Average bitrate : 4405 Kbit/s 10:55:26 AM: Total duration : 2:03:59 hours 10:55:26 AM: 1 title(s). 10:55:26 AM: Using Normal encoding profile. 10:55:26 AM: Encoding to ntsc-dvd 10:55:26 AM: Encoding video... 10:55:26 AM: Title 0, source 0 10:55:26 AM: Source : c:\documents and settings\perry intel\my documents\downloads\sicko2007dvdripengaxxo\sicko2007dvdripengaxxo.avi 10:55:26 AM: Properties : 640x320, 2:1, 23.98 FPS, mpeg4, 7438.9 seconds 10:55:26 AM: Target BitRate : 4405 Kbit\s 10:55:26 AM: Recompressing 10:55:26 AM: C:\Program Files\DVD Flick\ffmpeg.exe -i "c:\documents and settings\perry intel\my documents\downloads\sicko2007dvdripengaxxo\sicko2007dvdripengaxxo.avi" -s 720x424 -padtop 28 -padbottom 28 -r 29.97 -g 18 -vcodec mpeg2video -bufsize 1835008 -packetsize 2048 -muxrate 10080000 -aspect 16:9 -minrate 4405k -maxrate 4405k -b 4405k -preme 1 -precmp 2 -subcmp 8 -mbcmp 8 -cmp 1 -mbd 1 -rmethod lanczos -sc_threshold -9000 -bf 1 -an -threads 1 -fflags genpts -strict 2 -f mpeg2video "C:\Documents and Settings\Perry Intel\My Documents\DVD\0.0.m2v" -map 0:0 12:42:33 PM: Combining video sources... 12:42:33 PM: Concatenating videos... 12:42:33 PM: Title 0 12:42:33 PM: Encoding audio... 12:42:33 PM: Title 0, track 0, source 0 of 0 12:42:33 PM: Source : c:\documents and settings\perry intel\my documents\downloads\sicko2007dvdripengaxxo\sicko2007dvdripengaxxo.avi 12:42:33 PM: Properties : 2 channels, 48000 Hz, mp3, 7438.9 seconds 12:42:33 PM: Recompressing to 192 Kbit\s with 2 channel(s) 12:42:33 PM: -i "c:\documents and settings\perry intel\my documents\downloads\sicko2007dvdripengaxxo\sicko2007dvdripengaxxo.avi" -ab 192k -ac 2 -acodec ac3 -ar 48000 -threads 1 -i "C:\Documents and Settings\Perry Intel\My Documents\DVD\0.0.m2v" "C:\Documents and Settings\Perry Intel\My Documents\DVD\0.0.0.ac3" -map 0:1:1:0 12:48:08 PM: Combining audio sources... 12:48:08 PM: Concatenating... 12:48:08 PM: Title 0 12:48:08 PM: Combining sources... 12:48:08 PM: Multiplexing audio and video... 12:48:08 PM: Title 0 12:48:08 PM: C:\Program Files\DVD Flick\dvdauthor\tcmplex-panteltje.exe -m d -N -o "C:\Documents and Settings\Perry Intel\My Documents\DVD\title0.mpg" -i "C:\Documents and Settings\Perry Intel\My Documents\DVD\0.0.m2v" -0 "C:\Documents and Settings\Perry Intel\My Documents\DVD\0.0.ac3" 1:00:40 PM: Cleaning up... 1:00:45 PM: Adding subtitles... 1:00:45 PM: Authoring DVD... 1:00:46 PM: Authoring 1 title(s). 1:00:46 PM: C:\Program Files\DVD Flick\dvdauthor\dvdauthor.exe -x "C:\Documents and Settings\Perry Intel\My Documents\DVD\dvdauthor.xml" 1:10:51 PM: Cleaning up... 1:10:51 PM: Finalizing... 1:10:51 PM: Creating ISO image 1:10:52 PM: /mode build /buildmode imagefile /noimagedetails /rootfolder yes /filesystem iso9660+udf /close /nosavesettings /recursesubdirs yes /start /src "C:\Documents and Settings\Perry Intel\My Documents\DVD\dvd" /volumelabel Sicko /dest "C:\Documents and Settings\Perry Intel\My Documents\DVD\dvd.iso" /log "C:\Documents and Settings\Perry Intel\My Documents\DVD\imgburn.txt" 1:18:32 PM: Burning to disc 1:18:33 PM: /mode isowrite /start /nosavesettings /waitformedia /src "C:\Documents and Settings\Perry Intel\My Documents\DVD\dvd.iso" /dest D /log "C:\Documents and Settings\Perry Intel\My Documents\DVD\imgburn.txt" /erase 6:09:34 PM: Finished. I then burned another DVD using the ISO image from DVDFlick and plays OK in the DVD burner (using Media Player 10) but am still getting a garbled audio playback on the player (Magnovox- MWD 2205) I have done the following: Tried two different brands of dvds (Imation & Maxell) I bought a new dvd burner. I let DVD Flick create an ISO image and burn that manually at a lower speed (1x) than the drive's maximum. I also downloaded two episodes of the Californication series and burned them (using the Sony dvd-r 1x-16x). Audio worked fine in both the Burner and the DVD Player (Magnovox- MWD 2205). I then downloaded another .avi file & the audio works fine in the burner (Optiarc DVD RW AD-7170A) but when I play it in the player the audio is garbled & fuzzy. LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 The problem is not with ImgBurn, ImgBurn just burns the data as-is. Try the DVD Flick guy.
chewy Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I don't think it's dvd flick myself and I know it's not ImgBurn it's somewhere between the chair and the keyboard DAXON-AZ3-00 Duration: 00:05:49
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 What happens if you press the 'audio' button on your DVD player's remote control? Wouldn't it be easier to find yourself a cheap dvd player that accepts AVI file? Then you wouldn't have to mess around with this stuff at all.
dontasciime Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 mess on with the sound settings in your dvd player, from spdif pcm to raw etc or mess on with downmix. As above it has nothing to do with ImgBurn and more to do with the conversion and your DVD player.
