Sliztzan Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 (edited) Hello once again. I am making an DVD Video ISO for other people. It is for many people, so I can't ask each one. It is a single layer DVD and I don't know whether to set the media option on a -R or +R disc. I see it defaults to the -R. I thought the +R are usually recommended and are most common. What setting should I use? Thank you. Edited October 16, 2007 by Sliztzan
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 It doesn't really matter. If your source files are too big for either one of them (whatever's selected) it'll build it as if it's a double layer disc - with a layer break position etc. Of course if that happens you've got a whole other bunch of issues! I doubt any authoring package would spew out files that ONLY fit on DVD-R (which I believe is the bigger of the two and so probably the default anyway). The 'Media' tab in ImgBurn does nothing more than provide ImgBurn a little guide as to how and when it should build an image as a DL image.
