anody Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 First of all thanks for such a good program and for absolutely free. (here in Russia we're using everything for free =), but it saves lot's of time not to look for a crack ) I'm kind a newbie in recording DL discs. First tryed Nero and had the same result - my dvd player showed an error while trying to read those discs. Then i've read somewhere on russian forums about ImgBurn. Our guru tell that it will solve all recording problems. ...but... #39;( Using ImgBurn i'm still having the same problems. I'm using the expensive ones Verbatim DVD+R DL 2,4x here's my log: I 00:57:29 ImgBurn Version 2.3.2.0 started! Maybe i should set the correct booktype but seems that my drive is not listed in options.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I 01:45:13 Source Media Type: DVD+R DL (Book Type: DVD-ROM) (Disc ID: MKM-001-00) (Speeds: 2,4x) The program automatically changes the booktype to DVDROM on Samsung drives. What exactly is the error that your player is giving? By the sounds of it, your player needs a clean or you need to get a new one that *does* play your discs. Everything in that log looks fine to me.
anody Posted October 16, 2007 Author Posted October 16, 2007 (edited) thank you for a quick reply. the player says "no disc" after a number of clicks and low speed spins. the same happens in 2 laptops. Edited October 16, 2007 by anody
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I guess you need to try a new burner then.
anody Posted October 16, 2007 Author Posted October 16, 2007 I guess you need to try a new burner then. do you mean the drive or software?
anody Posted October 16, 2007 Author Posted October 16, 2007 drive ok, i see, thank you all for help by the way are there any recomendations which drive is the best for compatibility? (sorry, off topic )
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 To be honest, your samsung should be fine! I use a Samsung SH-203B for my DL burning now. Pioneer's are quite popular when it comes to DL burning.
volvofl10 Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 try one of your burned discs in someone elses dvd player to see if its your player at fault
