Cant burn Dvd-r's?

Im trying to burn a ISO but than it gives me an error when i try it with a dvd-r but with a dvd+r it goes to 98% than errors

It's too big to burn to a DVD-R disc. Since it seems you're converting an AVI video to a DVD disc, give DVD Flick a try

When i burn my movie with a DVD-R it errors right away but when i burn it with a DVD+R it errors when the sectors are full

That's because the DVD-R standard demands that a Reserve Track command (it tells the burner how much data will be burnt to disc) must be issued before starting the actual burn procedure, while for the DVD+R standard this isn't needed. The result is that for DVD-Rs the burner refuses immediately, while for DVD+Rs the burner will go on until it reaches the end of the disc, and then errors out with Logical Block Address Out of Range or similar error.
