Brand new discs of DVD+RW i bought at walmart, my drive is a PLEXTOR PX-755SA with the most recent firmware - dated Sept 7th 2007

I insert the disc into drive, and I converted the .avi to .iso/mds using the Build feature... When attempting the write mode, it says the disc is not formatted

I click ok to format the disc, it says "Erasing disc" in the status bar then after about 30 sec pops the error below... fails at dead 0% during 'writing lead-in'

It's better if you post the contents of the log window (which you've closed down).

how do i do that?

i also tried video and audio_ts .. no go.. fails immediatly at 0%

i also tried this in cdburnerxp pro 3... fails at 0% also...

something may be wrong with my burner so im on the phone with plextor.. it burns CD and CDRW media just fine... very strange

ok plextor said im using cheap media, and to get a better brand... the rep said plextor focuses on quality burns and is finicky about poor quality discs

My Plextor is awful on all rewritable media to be honest with you! It hardly ever works!

For future reference, you click 'View' -> 'Log' to show the log window. You can also access auto-saved logs via the 'Help' menu.

The log window should be visable all the time really as that's where all the progress info goes. I certainly don't close mine down!
