cornholio7 Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 check to see if there is a firmware update for your drive, then try lowering the burn speed to 8x
Lillian Posted October 25, 2007 Author Posted October 25, 2007 How do you check your firmware for my drive? or update it? I changed the write speed to 8x , but it didn't work.
dontasciime Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 There seems to be no firmware for your hp writer. You should check on hp site for future firmware if any ever get released for that drive. Give hp a call and tell them your not happy and it does not work and ask them to replace it with something that works. Also as suggested lower the write speed to 8x and see if that helps. Change the disc's to taiyo yuden tyg02 or verbatim mcc and if still no good contact HP
