File to large to transfer to external harddrive

I am trying to transfer some of my iso's to an external harddrive, but every file over 4 gb tells me that it is too large to transfer. Is there a way to compress the iso or get it to transfer. The external HD is a WD 320 gb version and is formatted as NTSF.

What's telling you they're too big?

 

If that drive really is formatted using NTFS, I don't see why 4GB would be an issue.
