ultizxc Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I really liked this program, untill everything stopped working for me. I made probably 15 good dvd+r's, which are working, but now I am getting errors with imgburn and with nero. I have read a few topics about mine errors, but nothing worked for me. So to give u an idea of my problem: and the log: I 19:28:00 ImgBurn Version 2.3.2.0 started! ultizxc Posted October 29, 2007 Author Posted October 29, 2007 (edited) Thanks for your fast replay! Tried what you said, but didnt worked yet. I just saw a little cirkel on the dvd, so i guess something is already on it.. Probably means its useless now? And if I am going to buy new dvd's, they should be verbatim's? Edited October 29, 2007 by ultizxc
volvofl10 Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 NO, the error you have now is to do with other software, not the disc Some other program has a handle on the drive , this is covered in the FAQ forum
dontasciime Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Once you get that sorted see if you can get some verbatim DVD+R and set booktype to DVD-ROM and burn at 4x for your Wii backups
ultizxc Posted October 29, 2007 Author Posted October 29, 2007 I used process explorer, but it couldt find anything what was using F:. And i just made another attempt to burn something, but now i am getting the "PMA is full" error. Tomorrow I am going to look for some verbatims, hope they do work better..
ultizxc Posted October 30, 2007 Author Posted October 30, 2007 still getting the same errors, with other dvd's.. (no verbatims yet).. But I cant understand why it stopped working after 10 succesfull burns.. All dvd's are from the same spindle, and all of a sudden I cant burn anymore. Before I am going to buy new verbatim's, does it really mather? sounds weird to me.. Thanks for the fast replays and good support!
dontasciime Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Good consistent media is the Key without out you cannot see what real problem might be. Get some tayio yuden tyg02 or some verbatim tyg03 or mcc dye and burn @4x
ultizxc Posted October 30, 2007 Author Posted October 30, 2007 alright, I am now looking for dvd's.. but which are better: Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD-R:MCC 03RG20 ] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disc & Book Type : [DVD-R] - [DVD-R] Manufacturer Name : [Mitsubishi Chemical Corp.] Manufacturer ID : [MCC 03RG20 ] Blank Disc Capacity : [2,298,496 Sectors = 4.71 GB (4.38 GiB)] or ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD+R:MCC-004-000] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disc & Book Type : [DVD+R] - [DVD+R] Manufacturer Name : [Mitsubishi Chemical Corp.] Manufacturer ID : [MCC] Media Type ID : [004] Product Revision : [Not Specified] Blank Disc Capacity : [2,295,104 Sectors = 4.70 GB (4.38 GiB)] Recording Speeds : [1x-2.4x , 4x , 6x-8x , 6x-16x] They are both Verbatim's.. but They have a different blank disc capacity.. Dont know exactly what that means.. but the bigger the better i guess?
ultizxc Posted October 30, 2007 Author Posted October 30, 2007 The Netherlands, but does that mather?
dontasciime Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Does not matter other than I can look for some media for you. I believe SVP ship there so 2 minutes. http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=2895&prepg=2 I use these with my benq 1650 @4x (only) with booktype permanently set to DVD-ROM and so far 100% for my Wii backups. The Wii drive can be fussy though so I cannot guarantee you 100% success with your writer and disc's but I think I can safely say you will get your backups working You might be able to also find these locally to where you are if not SVP price + shipping will still not be that dear.
ultizxc Posted October 30, 2007 Author Posted October 30, 2007 (edited) I found those dvd's on www.opus-shop.nl.. Verbatim DVD+R 4.7Gb 16x / 50-pack cakebox Artikelcode: VEOVPR475016SP Mediacode: YUDEN000-T03-00 / MCC 004 Levertijd : op voorraad If i look to the ADVDinfo, the numbers are the same, so I guess these are the right one.. Thanks for your help! If I have them I will put a post here wether they work or not. Burning @ 4 x does work by you? I tried it a few times but my wii was giving errors, so I always did 1 x. Maybe with this super dvd's I dont need to, I hope so! Edited October 30, 2007 by ultizxc
dontasciime Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Not used the MCC 004 ones so if they are the ones they send you cannot say if wii will like them, should be ok though
