Rpbns Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Hey all, Little backstory. Collected my old vcr (Spider-man cartoons to show how much of a geek I am) tapes together to transfer them over to DVDs to be played on PC and DVD player. Bought a Plextor converter with WinDVD Creator 2 (Bundled software). Worked great, nice and easy converting and editing. Program won't recognize my burner; Sony CD-RW CRX32OEE. Figured maybe it's the program, let me try something else to burn. Found you, yeah! Seems easy from the guides. After pointing to my _TS files I then get to the burn part and under the option - DEVICE - IMG won't recognize my burner either, no profile etc. Now I'm running XP Intel Core duo 2, 2.13 Ghz, 2 gb ram. No firmware updates for the DVD drive that I could find. I have old CD-R Maxell disks that are recognized, but not the DVD's I'm using which are Memorex DVD-R. Could it really just be these DVD's i'm using as I have seen in the posts? Is the DVD drive too outdated? Let me know if more information is needed. On a side note, does anyone know much about WinDVD Creator 2? Pros, Cons? Figure I could kill two birds with one post. Thanks in advance. Rob
