How can I cop aDVD movie on a sinlgle layer DVD+R disc?

I have tried to write a DVD movie onto a single layer dvd disc, ImgBurn tells me there is not enough space on the disc. Can ImgBurn shrink it to a 4.7Gh disc? Anyone, Help!
