Starscream Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Hey there, i've tried following loads of guides on here. But I'm fed up making coasters out of my expensive verbatim's! I think it's something to do with the booktype. How do I go about changing it for my dvd drive? Also, if you have this drive, or a similar model, how do you burn your backups? Cheers, Eddie.
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Posting a log in the support forum would be a good place to start.
polopony Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 theres no tab for Phillips drives with IB .Perhaps you can find something on Google
Starscream Posted November 9, 2007 Author Posted November 9, 2007 I've tried googling, not alot of results for my specific model. Anyway to get a Log without having to burn again? I'm kinda new to imgburn Cheers, and great work, it seems like a greaqt program!

dontasciime Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 dont forget to booktype using benq tab and eeprom setting so it always remembers to automatically set dual layer + to dvd-rom
Starscream Posted November 9, 2007 Author Posted November 9, 2007 I chaned it to DVD-ROM, but i see no eeprom setting. How do i do the eeprom setting? Here's a Screenshot: http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h282/Edd...37/booktype.jpg Cheers for the help donta!
dontasciime Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 It should be at the bottom of that dropdown selection box. If its not there as an option then just remember everytime you want to write dual Layer + to use benq tab and check setting and change if under current setting it does not say DVD-ROM Or you could crossflash the drive to a benq 1640 and then use eeprom setting. did the one you set to DVD-ROM work
