jdavida Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Hello I have just replaced decrypter with image burn and the program is great. When I use dvd shrink after the disc has been scanned then opened I backup the file and chose the option create iso file and burn with decrypter. Once the backup is complete decrypter would start burning. With image burn the option to burn automaicaly is no longer there. I have to back up the file them manually start image burn. Is there a way to have shrink recognize image burn as the replacement for decrypter. I would appreciate any help for this problem. Thanks
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 There was once a version someone made that called ImgBurn instead. No doubt if you search Google you'll find it somewhere.

Thanks It's a kind of a hack but, but here is what you do (I found this online in a forum somewhere, I just don't remember where): Install DVD Decrypter. Open (in separate windows) Img Burn folder and DVD Decrypter folder. Make a "Copy" (not shortcut) of the Img Burn application and paste it into the DVD Decrypter folder. Close Img Burn folder. Now add "(old)" to DVD Decrypter application to rename it. Then rename the "copy" of Img Burn to DVD Decrypter (make sure it is identical to the original DVD Decrypter application name or it wont work. Now run DVD Shrink like normal and when you make a back up of your DVD you will have the option of creating the ISO or ISO and burn with DVD Decrypter. Have fun!
CShirey Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 There was once a version someone made that called ImgBurn instead. No doubt if you search Google you'll find it somewhere. Hi, I am new to this but this is exactly the problem I am having. I want to use IMGBurn - I have had great success with it so far (why was I using Nero????) Following directions I found on a DVD Shrink forum, I start RipIt4Me, which goes automatically into Decrypter and then DVD Shrink. Then the choice is to burn with Decrypter. I want the choice to burn automatically with IMG Burn and I do not understand your answer. That's why we are called Newbies and why I am trying to read, read, read and see what each program does and why. May I have your suggestions please on setting this up properly? Thank you for your time. Cherie
