I am trying to change the booktype to dvd-rom to burn a dvd-dl. It says "Current setting failed". Now with my old liteon this option was available for change. Somebody has some tips? thanks in advance Bas the plextor type PX-800A
dontasciime Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Try the NEC tab as that is rebadged NEC AD-7170A or (AD-7173) I would say (AD-7173)
Bassie Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 Thanks for your quick respond. So I changed the booktype for the NEC. this was succesful. Now to get a clearer picture: does this autimatically change the setting for my plextor? Does my computer read the plextor as a NEC burner?
dontasciime Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 use the eeprom setting one and see if it allows it that way you never need to manually set any dvd +R DL to dvd-rom it will AUTO everyone you burn see if you get option EEPROM one
