Thanks for such a wonderfull app. I am currently having problems with Image Burn and its very upsetting to me cause i love this program. I have never had any problems in the year ive been using it. It gets to 67% finalize and then freezes everytime ... I will try to retry it and it does nothing ... Any suggestions?

Try burning at slower speeds to see if it helps. Also, you'd be better off with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media, as Ritek has been pretty poor quality lately.

That's exactly the problem with poor quality discs: the quality changes from batch to batch. Try burning them at 12x, 8x or even 6x. You have a very good burner with an up-to-date firmware, so that's not a problem at all.

They are two different disks ... one is Memorex DVD+R and other is Office Deppot brand DVD+R

Ok this time it did some even more weird stuff. I have 25 disks left of a 100 pack .... The last 75 worked just fine. I went and bought another spindle of 100 of a different brand and still the same thing. Here is the log from the last try.

you chose a write speed thats not supported by the firmware so it reverts back to the speed thats closest to 12x.

Its been said over and over Verbatim andTtaiyo Yuden are the only way to go, their quality control is far superior to the Riteks ,Ricohs ,CMC etc .To level; the playing field and to give yourself a real chance of success every time you should buy Verbs or TY's .The last good media that Ritek produced was their GO4 -R media around 3 years ago ,The discs I burned still play fine and I even have half a spindle that burns perfect , other than those I use Verbs and TY only and its been a long while since I burned a coaster .To see whats going on get some Verbs and see if the problems go away

When you next go to buy some disc's, think very hard and do some research and buy from an online retailer that clearly shows disc medi code as being YUDEN or TY or MCC you do not want to end up with RITEK, CMC, PRODISC, INFOSMART, being some of the many poorer choices available.
