I have tried to burn to 4 Verbatim DVD+R DL DVDs and have made 4 coasters (no problems with single layer discs). Here are the log files from ImgBurn for the last two attempts:

My LG drive is brand new and updated to the latest firmware. Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Seems your burner isd not reading layer 1 at all well.

Does it actually play? Check it across the layer break. Also, do a check of the burn in DVDInfoPro. See how that looks. Check it in another drive, if you have one.

You might need to clean the drive. Or you might have a rare case of a bad Verb.

Yep, both of these discs play, but freeze up badly at the layer change. I've checked them in 3 different DVD players - one player wouldn't even recognize one of the discs. The LG drive is brand new, so I don't know why it would be having any problems unless it was defective out-of-the-box. I thought about the possibility that the Verbatims are bad as well. I just wish I could figure out where the problem lies. Thanks for your response. If anyone else has any ideas, please post.
