DTN107 Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 (edited) New guy here and spare the flame if I ask something stupid . I use to be on the DVD decrypter boat and now I am on Imgburn ever since DVD decrypter stop updating. I only know the tip of the iceberg whatever happen. So far Imgburn has never fail me. But my friend says imgburn doesn't work for him. New or old DVDs it is the same result for him. He would receive some type of authentic error on imgburn when trying to back-up his dvd. He goes back to the old DVD decrypter and things work out fine like how they should be. Not sure if this helps but he is on a SATA Samsung DVD Burner. Anyone know any reason why imgburn is not working for him? Imgburn has work flawlessly for me. Update: Error says "read of scrambled sector without authentication" Edited November 30, 2007 by DTN107
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 It's pretty simple really, ImgBurn is a burning tool, DVD Decrypter was a dvd ripping tool. So you're comparing apples with oranges. ImgBurn is NOT designed to rip DVD's - hence why it's failing.
DTN107 Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 (edited) Nevermind. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtop...mp;hl=scrambled I know I should have use the search feature. Sry about that. ------------ Ah looks like you beat me lighting UK by a few seconds in posting. Thanks for the reply though. =D ----------- I guess I never ran into this issue is because the dvds I would back-up already had their encryption removed. Edited November 30, 2007 by DTN107
