RoeZ Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 When i select a file in imgburn (running under wine) it says file not found. I have tried via the C: D: stations of wine to select my file and also via /media/, no success either way. My drives get recognised, also my burner seems to be working well. I am trying to burn a .dvd file. The exact message is: Cannot open file: g:\Extracted\blaat.iso Reason: file not found. Kinda strange i can select the file but imgburn cant. Please advise
dontasciime Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 which mode are you in try just right clicking on .dvd and choose burn with ImgBurn (with Imgburn closed)
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 The .DVD file is probably pointing to something that doesn't exist. Edit it in notepad and fix it.
RoeZ Posted December 8, 2007 Author Posted December 8, 2007 The .DVD file is probably pointing to something that doesn't exist. Edit it in notepad and fix it. Thanks a lot, that indeed was the problem, strange tough, cause i already tried to pick the iso file, wich he said also didn't exist, it's fixed now tough, thanks!!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 When you pick the ISO, if there's a DVD file with the same name it'll tell you to use that instead and will automatically switch to it. Think of the DVD file in the same way you would a CUE file (that normally goes along with a BIN file). The .DVD file contains the names of the files which make up the image data. Your .DVD file should have contained the name of the .ISO but it was wrong and had a name of a file in it that simply didn't exist.
Kalarm Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Bumping this, I have a very similar error. "Cannot open file: C\users\*my name*\desktop\ok/\season2\MediaType=DVD" reason:The file cannot be found I edited in notepad, it is the right name, I even copy pasted to be sure. Still nothing. I tried putting the files straight the C HDD no success. What must I do?
Kalarm Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 NVM, I changed the name for something without underscores and it work. I don't quite get the "select Layer Break Position" tho :-/
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 The 'MediaType=DVD' thing is an unsupported keyword at this time. Just delete it from the .DVD file as it's only used/useful when mounting the image in Virtual CloneDrive.
