The disc type is Aone DVD+R DL and ive been burning this type of file no problem onto these discs until today. It ddi manage to read the first few sectors of layer 2 , then gave up although they haven't given you problems before , the inconsistency of dual layer media other than verbatim has just caught you out. It "could" just be a few worser quality ones than you've had before, but to play safe get some verbatim's made in Singapore and your problem should go away the disc may even be readale in a player/console , but no guarantee

The very next disc i burned worked fine. I must pick up some Verbatim's this week. thanks for the info! Sean
