cornholio7 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 edit: try some verbatim discs, CMC arent very good , try updating firmware to 1.0c
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 You'd do well to invest in a new burner, yours is ancient now.
TumaniAlbion Posted December 8, 2007 Author Posted December 8, 2007 edit: try some verbatim discs, CMC arent very good , try updating firmware to 1.0c How do I update firmware to 1.0c? And what does it mean? Tks
cornholio7 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1517 go to the above website, click on 1.0c and save it on your pc, make sure there is no disc in the drive, double click on the downloaded firmware, avoid accidental power down when flashing , just follow the onscreen instructions , let the firmware install and afterwards, reboot your pc

The device is there but I am still getting an error message about being incompatible. Tomorrow I will buy a Verbatim disk, and if that does not work buy a new burner... blutach Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 LMAO Now boss, there are still some folks who insist on W98 and even W95! Regards
chewy Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 not sure about corny's link but the latest firmware(2004) only supports these mid codes and I don't see those 16x dvd-r's at all http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia?dvdmedia...20MAG.%20AM3%20 since they didn't come out until a full year after that firmware like LuK said buy a new burner 10c_rpc1_speedsettings.txt
