I'm using a BenQ 1650.

I'm burning an ISO to a DVD-R.

The right side of ImgBurn states that I have an empty disc loaded.

When I attempt to burn, I get the error "Failed to send Cue Sheet!".

The log states ...

Test device ready

SENSE Interpretation: Incompatible Medium Installed

Failed to send Cue Sheet!

I'm using a Lite-On SHW-160P6S

The right side of ImgBurn states that I have an empty disc loaded.

The log states ...

Test Device Ready

SENSE Interpretation: Invalid Field in CDB

Failed to send Cue Sheet!

When using the Lite-On, I've also noticed ...

Note I've cut and pasted a juxtapostion of what I thought may be of importance.

I 15:23:55 CDB Interpretation: Prevent/Allow Medium Removal

E 15:23:55 SENSE Interpretation: The handle is invalid.

I 15:23:55 CDB Interpretation: Read Capacity

I 15:23:55 BUFFER: 00 00 00 00 00 00 08 00

E 15:23:55 SENSE Interpretation: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

I 15:23:55 CDB Interpretation: Read Disc Structure - Pre-Recorded Information

Note that I've used both drives to make successful burns with ImgBurn in the past.

Thanks

BTW, I was able to make a burn with Alcohol 120%.

Delete the DirectCD ones and update the Elaborate Bytes program you've got installed that uses the ElbyCDFL one.

Alcohol uses a very low level driver for it's I/O so it basically just bypasses all the crappy filters that are causing issues with your setup.

great! had the same problem. thanks for the help!

actually, just reinstalling imgburn seems to remove this error as well, as long as you don't keep the previous settings.

A new version may have fixed it anyway.

The problem wouldn't go away by just reinstalling unless you'd been messing with the settings and set something to a silly value.
