empire
Hello. While I was burning a double layer DVD+R DL (Verbatim 2,4x) a got an I/O Error as shown below: I/O Error! Device:[1:1:0]ATAPI DVD A DH20A3H YP5S(F:)(ATA) ScsiStatus:0x02 Interpretation: Check Condition CDB: AD 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 00 0C 00 00 Interpretation: Read Disc Structure - DVD+R DL Boundary Information Sense Area: 70 00 02 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 04 08 00 80 FF FF Interpretation: Logical Unit not ready, Long Write in progress Below this message I had two choices: again (in dutch: opnieuw) or cancel (in dutch: annuleren). Whatever I choose, the burning process did go on. After I while I got a message that the burning process had been succesfully. I checked the DVD and in my opinion the disc is OK. Because of the Error Message I am not sure the disc is OK. Can anybody explain the Error Message I got. Maybe someone can give me instructions so that I won't get this message again. LIGHTNING UK!
Wow, 'DH20A3H YP5S' gets 1 result in Google and this page is it! lol I'm not aware that setting the LB position is something I have to 'wait' for before then checking it again - certainly it's not something I've come across before with any other drives. You might find that updating the drives firmware to the latest one will fix the issue. http://club.cdfreaks.com/1952787-post659.html Try the 4th link down in that post - i.e. http://www.yourfilehost.com/media.php?cat=...5P_HT695WIN.rar

LIGHTNING UK!
You really need to direct this issue to LiteOn now. The command used to set the L0 data zone capacity (i.e. the layer break) is not supposed to return control to the program until it's actually finished doing it. Perhaps you could try the firmware I pointed out? You can actually reply in that cdfreaks thread and have a chance at talking to 'Wind' who is a liteon employee I believe, and the one actually working on the firmware. If there's an issue I'm sure he'll fix it. Out of interest, even when you get that error pop up, if you leave it for 30 seconds (or more?), does hitting 'Retry' work? It's not anything vital anyway.
