Newbie issue on rewrite

Ok I start to burn a dvd from an iso which starts off fine but then it starts to rewrite should I let it keep trying to rewrite or am I having some kind of issue? I should also state that this doesn't happen to all my ISO's I should also state I get no errors.....if this type of post is somewhere else I would read that I just couldn't find it

lower your burn speed to 8X, is that a dell oem drive?

ok slowing the speed down worked..thank you .....if you could how can I improve the write speed to be quicker?

buy premium media, verbatim or taiyo yuden and even then it's iffy at max
