It did set booktype to DVD-ROM

check to see if there is a firmware update for the writer you have and also maybe check ram with memtest +

Or you can even run this tiny memtest (not as comprehensive as the other but it run under windows and it will more than likely find errors, if there are any)

Regards

well it burnt with no error ..it validated it ..I have not actually tried it yet .

tried it :) it burned fine when i took out the mem. so now lets talk why? should i ditch this mem? I have not had one problem with it at all.. i play alot of lan games and other encoding apps and havent had problems..im gonna run some mem test but ? dude im pissed.lol

sorry but your not exactly making it clear.

you need to test 1 stick if it fails take out put in another stick of ram test that if that fails another stick test etc etc.

If all your sticks of ram are testing with errors, you should be using memtest + from the link i provided and burn that to a CD so your computer can boot from it, rather than using windows to test memory (sorry but windows is no good for testing memory , I have had loads of memory that tested fine in windows but was in fact faulty)

If all you memory fails in memtest + you need to check for a bios update for your motherboard, if that still does not fix it, try just 1 stick in slot 2 and test again. if it still fails you need a new motherboard or buy 1 more stick of ram if that also turns out to be faulty you def need a new motherboard
