mmalves Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 That happens when one tries to Erase Disc (Quick or Full doesn't matter) with a 'non-rewritable/reported as Unknown by drive' disc: ImgBurn asks you what type it should be, then it proceeds to erase/format the disc based solely on the information provided by the user. You can even do it without any disc in the drive.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 Looks like exactly what mmalves said. (Before anyone asks...ImgBurn works that way on purpose - so it can try and erase discs when the drive is messed up and reporting bogus info). User error.
