key88sf Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 I have tried ImgBurn with two different ISO files for Wii games now. Both fail the same way, even in Test Mode on both XP and Vista machines. I get the Semaphore Timeout error -- same problem with two different ISO files (both are exactly 4,699,979,766 bytes). DVD Burner is a USB2.0 external dvd r/w drive (IOmega SuperDVD 12x). I've tried at 2x, 2.4x, 4x, and Auto as well. Anyone have any advice? Here is a logfile: I 11:27:39 ImgBurn Version 2.3.2.0 started! dontasciime Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 burn wii images at 4x max anyway and not 8 and try a quick fix maybe of switching the I/O in ImgBurn settings to WNASPI32 instead of the default SPTI (you will need to download WNASPI32 that from nero site unless you have nero installed already so search ahead folder for it) and place either in ImgBurn folder or system 32 or maybe both if neither work) It's down to the chipset in your usb enclosure as sometimes they do not play nice with the hardware you install into enclosure. You could also see if there are any firmware update to the burner your using and see if the chipset in enclosure can be flashed with a newer firmware as well. If it still does it with WNASPI32 you could try the other I/O like Patin or elby search google for them or try flashing chipset or buy another enclosure like octigen one or buy a different burner but you may still end up with Semaphore timeout errors, as I said above mixing an enclosure (with whichever chipset and all dvd writers is hit and miss pot luck unless you know a combo that works)
