Scott_In_OKC Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Now that Verbatim has gone to crap, what is the official ImgBurn recommended DL media? I did a forum search, but didn't find anything.
Scott_In_OKC Posted January 7, 2008 Author Posted January 7, 2008 Verbatim Made In Singapore. That's what I've been using, but it appears to be a crapshoot on what you're going to receive nowadays.
kevdriver Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Scott, The Singapore Verbs seem to be alright..... at least here in Canada. Its the Verbs from India that you really have to worry about. Those ones are terrible for the most part.
dontasciime Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 That's what I've been using, but it appears to be a crapshoot on what you're going to receive nowadays Wherever you buy them from Insist on them sending Singapore ones, If they say there is no guarantee tell them you will order from another retailer and repeat the process until you get some and get them to give a concrete Yes they will be sending Singapore ones and tell them if they send you anything other that you will be sending them back.
Scott_In_OKC Posted January 7, 2008 Author Posted January 7, 2008 Any recommended locations? I normally buy mine from Newegg, but based on the reviews, it appears they have the India discs now. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817130008
spinningwheel Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Check the forum at www.meritline.com, You can post the question and they will get back with an answer in a timely manner. And don't forget thet Taiyo Yuden is also highly recommended here.
Scott_In_OKC Posted January 7, 2008 Author Posted January 7, 2008 And don't forget thet Taiyo Yuden is also highly recommended here. I use Taiyo Yuden single layer media exclusively, and HAD always used Verbatim DL media. I go way back to LightningUK's previous application (which shall remain nameless) and TY media was always recommended in the forums along with Ritek (another QC victim).
