Chrille Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 The last 4-5 times I have burned an image (Write) or filled up the DVD with other things (Build) it has stopped at 17% during Closing Session... When i just burnt a couple of 100MB it worked as it should. I am burning to DVD+RWs and have used them many hundred times before, even bought new ones, same brand as earlier but it still goes like this. And when it happens it sounds like the DVD is spinning up, then gives a click and then spins down again. And so it goes on and on and on until I restart my computer. And also, the DVD-RWs working perfectly fine on another computer with ImgBurn! Found something about hitting the F8, tried that but didn't help. Anyways, here's the log: I 19:16:37 ImgBurn Version 2.3.2.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 The drive is just stuck. Try cleaning it or invest in a new one (that drive is super old now!). You should actually avoid rewritables unless you have good reason to use them. They're never anywhere near as good a write once media.
LOCOENG Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I 19:17:35 Destination Media Type: DVD+RW (Disc ID: MBIPG101-W04-00) (Speeds: 2,4x; 4x) Marginal media at best anyway...
