You can't burn 7GB onto a DVD+RW (which only holds 4.37GB) - of course it's going to fail.

How did you get the 1.15 firmware from that link?! It's the 1.24 firmware.

Sorry what a stupid fault I had not seen that, but fact remains I cant burn in this case an Xbox 360 game on to a verbatim dual layer + R disc, it freezes

at 9 or 12 % with an error. I dont know why but when I execute the file you posted, it says 1.15 ???????

I will try burning a file that has the correct size and post my result in abaut 10 minuts. Thx for the help so far btw.

The 1.09 wasn't reading those DL discs properly - or at least I don't know why it was trying to erase it as if it were a DVD+RW disc?! (maybe that was something you were doing? STOP IT!)

With 1.24 firmware it should work fine - hence the reason for you needing to upgrade.

There is no way that 1.24 firmware would load the 1.15 one so I suggest you download it again and run the proper file - and select the proper drive if you have 2 or more Pioneer 112's ?

Posted
Did you choose 1.24 for DVR-112 or DVR 112D? You have the DVDR-112 without the D.

I choose DVR-112.

When im in the program (Imgburn) it tells me my firmware version is 1.15...... I cant update what does this mean ?

The Firmware of target drive is not correct F/W ??

Posted

Where did you get the 1.15 firmware from?

The DVR-112 v1.24 firmware that I provided a direct link to in my first reply should work fine, so if it doesn't now it's probably because of the 1.15 firmware you've put on.

Posted

If you've used 'The Dangerous Brothers' one (which is probably what you've done) then the drive will now be region free and the official Pioneer firmware won't work anymore.

You need to get it back to being an RPC2 drive before the official Pioneer flashes will work.

Posted
Maybe you are leaping too much...try 1.21 first and then proceed in increments if needed.

Thx once again so far  but it dosent work, I have tried to upgrade with 1.21 still the same error, I must admit that I acsidently

may have upgradet my firmware using from the site Imgburn suggested see picture. I have read that I can set my firmware back to basic by using

DVRFlash it just dosent seem to work either :(
