blutach Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I 17:12:49 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RITEK-D01-01) (Speeds: 2.4x) Change your media. Ritek DL media is pretty ordinary. Only use Verbatims MKM-001, Made in Singapore. You could also do with a firmware update - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2034 Regards
clleavage Posted February 9, 2008 Author Posted February 9, 2008 I dont get it though these dvd+r dl always have worked in the past... could it just be a computer bug? or maybe they have updated their dvds?
blutach Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Nope - they are poor media. You can see this burn crapped out right after the layer break. This is typical. Save tearing your hair out - go get some Verbs, MIS, 2.4x. Regards
clleavage Posted February 10, 2008 Author Posted February 10, 2008 updated my firmware and changed iso file.. it is currently burning and is fine
mmalves Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 (looking at the OP's nickname I just had to butt in... I mean... you get the idea! ) Changing the ISO image, by itself, doesn't make any difference, since the burner will burn whatever data is sent to it. Leave Verify enabled to confirm it was burnt properly
spinningwheel Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Do as advised and get good media, yours is not and will end up costing you in the long run...
