The first cue sheet was created using this drive, too. Then I tried it with a "TOSHIBA CD/DVDW SD-R5372" (firmware: TU56). This drive was able to read the last two track's ISRCs with ImgBurn. NEC EAC: all 8 track's ISRCs IB: only first 6 track's ISRCs Toshiba EAC: all 8 track's ISRCs IB: all 8 track's ISRCs
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 That's the drives issue really. It's just 1 command to read the ISRC code from a given track, if it doesn't report one then there's not much I can do about it. I haven't messed around with workarounds for buggy drives. EAC has been going for years and so probably has. I'll see what I can do to improve things though. Thanks for reporting it.
Pestam Posted February 11, 2008 Author Posted February 11, 2008 Yeah, maybe Andre Wiethoff can help you out.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I wonder if it's not just filling in the blanks using freedb info or something? I've just plugged my 3500 back in and EAC doesn't appear to be doing anything special. Even ejecting and reinserting the disc can make that drive return different ISRC info.
