sgr1 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Hello everyone, I have just started to use ImgBurn. It is very nice. In my first burn the disc was automatically finalized; I think so because when I try to use the disc again I get "Disc not empty" error. How do I prevent this automatic finalization ? I do not want to waste a full DVD for one or several files. (By the way, I would expect that something so basic would appear in the Guides, but could not find any.) Thanks
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Imgburn doesn't support multisession burning without a .cue file. Use Nero if you have to or, better still, a flash drive
zelenin Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 2.4.0.0 Released: Sunday 10th February 2008 Added: Support for multi-session/track CD reading/burning (*using a CUE file - this includes Audio CD's from anything DirectShow/ACM can handle - AAC/APE/FLAC/MP3/MPC/OGG/PCM/WAV/WMA etc).
blutach Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 @Shamus - 2 different posters mate. zelenin was backing up what you were saying Regards
greyowl Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 If you use a cue file with data, can you go back and add more data to the same disk? Would this be the multisession feature?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 No, it's burning a multisession disc that IS a BIN/CUE. You can't ever 'go back and add more' with ImgBurn. Once the disc has been burnt it's finalised. If you want to use a disc for multiple writes, get a DVDRAM and do it properly using Windows's built in support. All you have to do is format it using FAT32 or whatever and it becomes like a hdd where you can just drag and drop onto it. Personally I still say it's far far far easier to use a USB pen.
blutach Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 This is coming up over and over and over already. Heed the boss's words You can't ever 'go back and add more' with ImgBurn. Once the disc has been burnt it's finalised. Regards
