Verbatim DVD+R DL's in bulk in the USA?

Hey, all!

I need an online store in the USA where I can buy Verbatim DVD+R DL's in bulk. Preferably, if they make them, discs with inkjet/thermal labels on them. The Verb's I've had waste a lot of space for writing titles with their logo on them instead.

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

I bought a 20 pack of the Verb printables from NewEgg about 2 years ago for $30 with a $10 MIR, you just have to keep looking as they aren't on sale nearly as often as the SL discs. Might want to keep an eye out at:

I still have about 8 of the original 20 left as I don't see many movies deservant of the extra cost.

I would hate to buy a bulk order online and get a bad batch from India

I agree chewy, luckily I bought mine before the impostors showed their ugly faces.

They are not imposters. They are made by MBI under contract from MCC.

Would it help if I called them inferior instead? :)

I don't think Blutach would endorse using them if made in Singapore is still available

Of course with enough time they may get the bugs out of Indian production, some batches have been excellent?

Single layer used to be made in Singapore, dual layer replaced that, BluRay might if it ever takes off, now it's made in Japan

Verbatim would have to take a hefty dip in quality for me to ever count them out, no matter where they are made.

This looks like exactly what I'm looking for.

I've ordered NEC drives from NewEgg before and have been satisfied with my transactions with them in the past. I think I'll ordered 1 spindle to see what the manufacturer ID's area and if they're satisfactory, order more spindles.

Thanks!

Could always try some of the ebay sellers as i'm sure they can give you more info about the discs than on-line retailer + they might do you some special deal if you buy enough

Check out my post here db, I think lmao2k recommended him to me first off and he was very reliable, I am on his e-bay store mail list and he definitely does Verb DL with printable tops ;)

Wow, my order has arrived already.

Okay, here's the Manufacturer ID for them. Hope it's good and not one of those India batches mentioned earlier.

MKM-001-00

Is that a good Manufacturer ID? I don't like seeing MKM instead of MCC. But, what could MKM stand for? If German, I'd say Kemical. :D

Thanks!

MKM-001 disc is made by "Mitsubishi Kagaku Media" -

Kagaku is Japanese for shite

Greetings & Hallucinations to you DB from the UK...

Okay, good. That means they are real Mitsubishi media, which appeared in the MCM strings before on Verbatims.

Those MKM001's are supposed to be the good ones DB. Is there a "made in" indicator anywhere on the label...should be Singapore.

Netsoftmedia bloke on ebay guarantees his discs are made in Singapore

Becuase these have printable labels, the only text is at the ring, where it just says it's Vertabim DVD+R DL and the speed.

I meant on the package the discs came in, not the discs themselves...sorry if I confused you.

Oh. I checked the label on the cake stack, with the bar code, and it does say made in Singapore. :D

The made in India DL's use exactly the same media ID. So far I've burnt 30 of the Indian jobs, no problems, except if you burn them too fast the house starts to smell of curry. I prefer the MIT's, but they are getting harder to find.

I am very pleased with the Verbatims I got off of Newegg. Out of 120 total I burned, 119 completed and verified. The one sole loner burned to 87% and failed for some read time out, I forget which. That's a 99.2% success rate. Can't argue with results that. :)

that is a pretty good ratio...I just can't find much of a need for them other than games and such. Speaking of which I need to get some DL Verbies, I'm almost out.

I don't have a need of them games as of yet. Mostly for my movie collection. I'd rather spend few extra duckets than take the time to compress/delete streams, etc. ImgBurn does a great job on episodic DVD's. :) Knows where to put layer breaks: between episodes.
