DiscCoasterPro Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 (edited) Hello. I'm new to the forum and I'd like to ask a question. I'm backing up some of my DVDs and I have a new Laptop computer with Windows Vista. I'm unable to load my old copy of Nero 6 and I just learned about this ImgBurn program. I ran the DVD through DVD Shrink and put the files on my hard drive. I have followed the instructions in the guide on how to burn a DVD from the listed files that Shrink put in the VIDEO_TS folder. I get to the point of entering a volume label and the IMGBURN program says it cant find the TOC At that point it stalls and also mentions "device not ready (Unable to recover TOC) Do I have to make some special "volume label" name? What am I doing wrong? thanks very much Edited February 15, 2008 by DiscCoasterPro
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Sounds like you're using discs your burner doesn't support. The error comes from the drive itself and basically tells me that it can't initialise the disc properly (it's unable to read the 'Table Of Contents' (TOC))
blutach Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 As always, go buy some Verbatims or Taiyo Yudens. And keep your firmware up to date. Regards
