Please help- Average Burn time 45 minutes??

Recommended Posts

HI new to this forum so forgive me if i am not soing this right. i just am frustrated that it has been taking 45 minutes to burn 1 movie ie. Disney's "Cars" onto a DVD -R. If i remember correctly it used to take between 7-13 minutes before~! so i am wondering what is wrong. My max burning is 16x and my computer has just been cleaned out so i have over 40% space on my computer so i know it has the potential to run well!

Any ideas?? or does it take this long for everyone~??? <_<

lemkes, sounds like a DMA issue. Check out the FAQ for answers and post a log of the burn (s) that are slow, could be outdated firmware on your burner as well. :) Help>Imgburn logs> copy and paste. Give me a break, I was scratching an ich........

Must have been a big itch...a whole 17 minutes, you really shouldn't spend so much time in one place either. :)

Isn't My Computer on your desktop? If not, Is it in the Start menu? Otherwise, hold down the Windows Key and press Break.

ok so under the tab IDE ATA/ATAPI Controlers there are 3 headings

NVIDIA nFORCE2 IDE COntoller

ANd Primery & Secondary Channels

If i understand it right i am supposed to Uninstal the NVIDIA nFORCE2 IDE COntoller... is that right???

When you delete the controller and reboot, Windows will detect it again and install as usual. This is needed in order to reset its settings.

Once you get the DMA sorted get some decent discs...Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

:frustrated: ...Delete the controller and reboot, or don't and put up with the same slow crap...your choice... no damage potential to the system...change media to what we suggest...:frustrated:
