Yes, so far it does it on everyone that I burn. I have not updated firmware. I will burn one now, with verify checked to see what happens.

Then I will update firmware and see what happens.

I will say that even with the error it seems to burn fine, and the disc works. Have not watched one fully through yet, but DVD player will read it.

I will let you know.

I turned Verify on and it gave an error again. below is the log and i have a screen shot, which is attached. The disc how ever works fine, i just placed it in the dvd player and skipped through all chapters and it works fine. plays and fast forwards fine also.

BTW, thanks for the fast replies!!!!

I followed the link that you provided and used 9V63WIN.rar as the file to Flash. It says to update from the 1.01, but when its done nothing happens.

Posted

But it does actually go through the flashing process - whereby the progress bar counts up etc?

Do you get a 'success' (or 'error') message at the end of it or just nothing at all?

Posted

I get a success, but on a reboot after words nothing changes. i have tried 2 different flashes from "wind" and nothing seems to be working to flash it.

Posted

Yes, i followed the shortcut method, get the right firmware and flash the firmware with out the flash tool.

On another note i will say that I have the IDE version of this drive also.

I put them both in the same computer, and have burned a successful with verify using the IDE drive. I am going to try again with the SATA drive to see if that makes a difference now.

here is the log with the IDE drive.

SATA failed again, but the IDE works just fine. Guess I will be using the SATA as a ripper and the IDE as a burner for now. I have posted the log below for the SATA.
