elenaluz Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Hello. I am a new, potential user of ImgBurn. Nero has stopped working recently, and I'm looking for a burning program that will verify burned files to the originals. I did a search of the forums, and I am still confused about Verify: What is the difference(s) between burning directly to disc and checking the Verify box in Build mode, and verifying in Verify mode? If I check the box, will it compare the burned files to the originals for both VIDEO_TS folders and ISO images, as well as readability? What about for Verify mode? Will either one work for verifying against the original VIDEO_TS folder, without converting said folder to an ISO first?
LOCOENG Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Verifying after the burn will automatically verify the file you just burned against the file it was burned from on your PC....If in verify mode you can insert a disc and verify it against the file it was burned from if it is still on your HDD.
elenaluz Posted February 29, 2008 Author Posted February 29, 2008 Will this also work for VIDEO_TS folders for both the checkbox and Verify mode?
Cynthia Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 If you burn directly from your VIDEO_TS folder - it's that one that gets verified against the burned disc.
elenaluz Posted March 12, 2008 Author Posted March 12, 2008 Thank you. Now, I'm rather glad that Nero crashed on me because I got to find and try a much better burning software.
