flappychuck Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Below is my log. I've been reading the guides & other help trying to solve my problem. I've been burning DVDs using Image Burn for quite some time and just the last week or so had problems. I read responses on other topics to use different DVDs, so I just want to say this has just started happening and I've been using this spindle of DVDs for months! I just used my last 3 trying to get this movie backed up. I 11:15:48 ImgBurn Version 2.4.0.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 You can't write off any advice we may or may not give until you've actually tried it.
Cynthia Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Tried to do some search of later firmware for this burner and it's tricky to find. There is a discussion on a Swedish board if this one is for your burner or not. http://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/fil...formation/8137/ As both you and the one in that forum has the "D" added to the model name - the thread never found a solution to it. If your burner is also in a Sony/VAIO computer - try to use the Sony web page and see if you can find something for your specific computer model or send a mail to Sony support. The firmware installer will tell you if it's for your burner or not. I suggest you first try to use another brand of discs as post #2 suggests.
LOCOENG Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Try using a tumble drier That will just warm it up a bit won't it Donta...won't really burn anything.
spinningwheel Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I read responses on other topics to use different DVDs SEE.....You already knew the answer....was this just a test to see if we wouldn't catch on???? NOW....My turn.....What media do we recommend????
Lloyd The Llama Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 it says the same thing for me. I DLed the firmware thing that cynthia posted but instead it says "The target drive is not connected" What does it mean?
Lloyd The Llama Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 The disk i'm using is a Memorex DVD-R. It has 4.7GB. Could it be the disk? If so, what disk should I use??
blutach Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Use search! Use only Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs. Regards
dontasciime Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 it says the same thing for me. I DLed the firmware thing that cynthia posted but instead it says "The target drive is not connected" What does it mean? have you got the same drive that firmware is intended for >? post a log
