k...Not to be dumb but......

If I have a avi file can I burn it to a dvd disk that I can play in a home dvd player?

Or only I can make iso files or store data?

If I can burn avi movies please give info or link on how to..

If your home dvd player plays mpeg4/ xvid/ divx you just need to burn as is.

 

 

test using a cdr and a file that will fit to 700 meg and see if your player picks it up

It is possible to burn you divx (avi) format movies onto a CD+/-R or DVD+/-R directly without having to convert it to DVD format.

 

Tested this myself and played the film successfully on my DVD player.

 

Your DVD Player must have the capability to play Divx format movies otherwise it will not work
